hello friends!
Yes, I know now you must surely be
flat out flabbergasted that I'm back....
{via fleaing france}
well like I said....I'm trying
to change my wayward ways....
trying to get my brain to think of things
I can talk to you about....
one such "thing" was right outside my kitchen
window....
my lavender plants....
which I do believe need to be harvested....
now.
believe it or not...I haven't wanted
to cut them down because they've been
covered with bees....
yes I'm a softy like that.
don't wanna take away their pollen ya know?
{if it helps you understand me...I once saved a slug after covering
it in salt....oh bother!}
but I think I better hurry up
or I'm afraid I might miss out...
this picture is from a lavender festival in France...
wouldn't that be amazing???
just to stroll through the fields?
anyone else have lavender to harvest??
when do you cut them?
I found instructions on Pinterest (where else??)
interested!
Have a great weekend!!!
xoxo,
Shellagh

Oh how I love lavender!!! I have a few small plants and I just keep cutting the stems to make bundles around the home.
Obviously I'm no expert! :)
Hope you have a beautiful weekend.
Sincerely,
Melinda
Lavender is sooo gorgeous, and that is a lovely post. I have a few plants and just cut flowers when I really want them cuz I like to leave them for the bees too. Have a good weekend.
Ciao,
Mary
Wow girl, you are on a roll! It is so nice having you back in blogland! I absolutely adore the first photo. So soft and pretty!
Oh my, the picture of the lavender in France is just unbelievable. On another note, it is hard to set yourself on a good path in which to post. I know I haven't in a month or more - it's nice to think about lavender. Have a good day.

I've missed you! I haven't been around too much either though. Love your pictures! I love lavender so much, could have it in every room! Did you make the pillows? They are SO cute!! Don't stay away so long next time!!
XO,
Jane
I have a small pot of lavender that comes back every year. I think I need to plant a lot more. It is my favorite smell.
Gorgeousness, Shellagh!!! Complete and utter gorgeousness! I love how much you and I are alike! I saved a frog from being run over by my lawn mower today. :) He was too far away from his pond home. lol!
Hugs!
