~honest scrap award!~

I am the recipient of the "Honest Scrap" award!

Thanks so much Susie From My Home to Yours!  I have to admit I was in shock but gleeful when I saw that you gave me the award!  I am brand new to this and have been having so much fun meeting all of you and learning all this blogging stuff!

So, here's what I do now:
Thank the person who gave me the award and link to her blog/website.

Share 10 honest things about myself

Present this award to 7 others whose blogs I find brilliant in content and/or  design, or those who have encouraged me.

Tell those 7 people they've been awarded HONEST SCRAP and inform them of these guidelines.

So, here goes......

1) I am a Christian and try each day to stay close to God, and do what he wants me to do.

2)  I'm happy EVERYday for my wonderful husband....for all that he is....and who makes me laugh even when he's in the doghouse!! ;-)

3)  I LOVE being a mom & can't wait to be a grandma someday!

4)  My heart skips a beat & all my worries go away (at least for awhile) when I get my new Country Living magazine in the mail!

5)  I start WAY too many projects that usually have to wait in line to get finished.....and unfortunately they aren't all small.

6)  Almost everything in my house from top to bottom (floors to chandeliers) is from Craigslist!  Even our dog! (But not the kids!):-)

7)  I start all major projects while the hubby is at work....including but not limited toknock out hall closet, remove upper cabinets in kitchen, remove sod from the backyard, and tear up carpet from stairs & hallway, remodel powder room...etc..etc...

8)  I love jewelry but feel awkward wearing it....

9)  I can sit at my computer for hours listening to little snippets of 80's music...from Bon Jovi and AC/DC to Elton John and Cindi Lauper!

10)  I love to spend Sunday afternoons with my girls watching Jane Austen movies.

Now I would now like to pass on this award to the following fabulous blogs! (Nearly impossible to pick only 7)

Dream in Cream

Farmhouse Musings

Let it Shine

Faded Plains

Red Ticking

Recaptured Charm

Love your list, CH makes my heart warm too. I love that you tear your house up while hubby's away. I keep threatening to pull up the carpet, I'll do while he's at work! Lisa

Shellagh, Thanks so much for the badge!!! I will definitely send it on and right back at you too. Your blog inspires me with all the projects and eye candy. I am a Country Living lover too. I tend to be a home dec magazine addict but alas, most of my other faves are gone. I am patiently awaiting Flea Market Style mag which will be published in early 2010. Woo Hoo, a new mag just for us junk lovers. Hugs, Pam

I like to visit each person who I've never visited before and maybe add them to my Google Reader (that's what I use to surf the blogs, chickee) and your's will be added posthaste. Nice to meet ya, sweetpea! Love it when I come across gals in this part of the country...

Hi Shellagh, thank you so much for your kind award. I have said this more than once that I will get my lovely daughter (who hates to teach her mom about computer savvy) to help me link these awards. I have had a few given but have yet to figure out how to get the award to mine and vice versa. Love your Blog and will add it to mine. Again, many thanks and I am glad You found me so I could find you...Love Tiina...

Therapy, in conjunction with keeping a journal, can really help you when confronted with your stress and anxiety. It may help you realize precisely what the anxiousness is stemming from and you could then talk to your counselor about it. Conversing with other individuals and talking about your difficulties is always a good strategy. Vi7765ity
