~farmhouse love in Spain~

Happy Friday!

I am in love with this home in Malaga....
You're wondering what Malaga is huh?

well it's one of 8 provinces in Andalucia, Spain
this home is nestled in the hills....

* sigh *

I need to move in.

no. really.

how about a little breakfast on the terrace?
in the sunshine?
can you feel it warming up your back?

can you smell the fresh air?

the birds....chirping in the trees?

let's go inside....

you can hang your bag on the little stand there.....
come on in ~ oh you like the terracotta floors?
the high gloss finish?
me too....

let's just leave the doors open ~
so we can feel the breeze & the wonderful fresh air...
mmmmmm........

cozy seating area.....curl up ~ read a book.....
take a little nap.....
enjoy the fire? huh? oh well.....moving right along ;)

let's look at the kitchen....
see what you think about the color.....

more high gloss floors.....
love the open shelves with the baskets...
and I do like the color!
just a little pop of green amid the neutrals....
it fits.

oh but my true love has got to be the
 beams......I seriously love them
seriously want them....

here.

and you know, I have a table very similar to that~
it's my desk....hmmmm.....it's kind of small....
maybe just small enough to fit in our kind of
small kitchen.....?

um....grey & cream.....love it.

would you like to see the master bedroom?
I think you do.... come with me...
although it is gorgeous outside....
we do have a fire going....

it adds to the major fabulous factor
of the room....don't ya think?

too much fabulous-ness to list....
the chair....love
the cabinet....oh yeah...
cozy rug....yup...
oh french doors to the balcony....
and the beams....

really?  so gorgeous....what would it be like to live here?
a fairy tale.....a dream....heaven on earth...

even the guest room is amazing & perfect.....
I LOVE all the cream & white & grey....

oh this is not news to you?
k....;)

Of course I am also loving the turqoise....
just a pop....is all ya need......

oh~ almost forgot to take you through the
master bath....

you might like it....

you might like the shower with the carved doorway....
you might like the flooring.....
is it terracotta? limestone? travertine?
looks like a mix of the 3....
I don't know what it is but I am loving it.

from this angle it looks like polished terracotta again...
maybe it is.

OK...can you seriously feel the breeze coming thru
the open doors and windows?

is the air so fresh & cool right after stepping out of the hot
tub or shower?

ahhhhhhhhh........

pssssssst........

I really don't want to snap you out of this dream.....
this lovely day dream.....

on the sunny coast of Spain.....

but this is a warning....it's almost over.....

soak it in .... go back sit on the terrace on more time....
breathe deeply....soak in the sun.....

google it ~ save for a vacation.....
:)

Have a wonderful weekend friends!

xoxo,

Shellagh

Funny, that is kinda what i picture your house looking like! The idea of doors being left open to let the breeze breath through the house is so such a nice fantasy.....oh, sigh..i long for summer! xoxo

Good grief, that is simply stunning. I am ready to move there myself. Maybe I could winter there, and then summer here in Alaska ;) LOVE LOVE this place.

Wow! I could be verrrry happy in that sweet home, Shellagh! I think I'd need to change the kitchen walls, though. Just too over the top for me there. But I'm loving the gray/white scheme. Beautiful! Thanks for the mini-vacay!

Have a great weekend!

Hi Shellagh
Thank you for your visit, I am painting right now on another foot board inbetween getting back with you. That foot board of mine would look great over that entry table or mantled or the fire place :)

There is not a thing I don't like about this place...It is so well dressed I really could not find a thing wron except it is not here were I could tour it inperson or maybe move into it :)
Wishful, dreaming, well you get the idea.

I am really inspired by its relaxed elegance.

Your home is what my dreams are made of.

It seems all white and simple, but is classy understated elegant in simpler form. such as in not marie antoinette elegance. love it. You have the concept.
