~loving this~

hello there bloggy friends!

I have been busy as always....

searching, scouring, scrounging & more

shopping with my new bloggy friend Kim
who btw is having a giveaway...so go visit her lovely blog....

I'm dreaming of spring....
and doing some spring clean up outside...
pulling lots and lots of weeds...

Mr. Ticking & Toile
{I think that is so hilarious.....and so does he..ha}

secured my ginormous cecile bruner rose bush to our patio

I am seriously shocked at how much it has grown since last May....

a little scary!!

I love this picture.....
come on summer!
{already impatient with spring & on to summer...}

 we are actually very close to starting on our stairs....
I really love the collection of mirrors in this picture~

do you think my kids would knock them down when they
charge down the stairs??

~*~

I'm really getting impatient with all our unfinished projects.....
so when the tax return hits the bank account...we're off to Home Depot....
to get what we need to redo our stairs (yay!!)

~*~

but for today and this week
I have to focus.....
{uh what? did someone say focus?? you mean like not jump on the computer
every 8 1/2 minutes to see what's going on in blogland???}

on our bedroom that I must finish.....

do you love this....? so beautiful...

today, I am off to Home Depot & Joanns
to get the rest of what I need for our bedroom
{I still can't get over looking at that picture...yum yummy}

I can't remember where I found this...
but I'm thinking of using a net like this over our bed...
if it would fit with a king???

if not....

I found an absolutely fabulous mirror at goodwill
{I will soon post on it because it is 2die4...}

but, I didn't know if it would be too much
with a headboard.....

~the headboard~
I'm going to be making this week....
{wish me luck as this means power tools, drills, jig saw, saw horses
working in a cold garage...etc....;o) }

today I am getting my supplies....

plywood
batting
foam
yummy white linen
tufting...

~*~

this will require me to

****focus****

and maybe make a few fabulous pillows
all ruffly & romantic

{did you see that? already losing focus...thinking I can just crank out a couple of these real quick...
but these are just for you to see....
see what I'm thinking about.....
I won't do it....not until I'm done....
I will focus.....I will....I will....}

I'll be needing some like this

or this

 or this....

......and I also have about 30 items to add to my etsy store so
that will take some time....but that can't wait~
you all need to see what I've found....right?? ;-)

btw, did you all see the giveaway at

this is just a peek....

run right over....

have a great week!

Shellagh,
That is the exact headboard I am attempting to make. My hubby is not exactly thrilled with the idea yet. I just need a few more days to convince him that life will actually cease if we don't have that baby as our headboard. Good luck on your project! And good luck with the weeding, I will come weed for you, if you come and shovel for me!

LOVED all these beautiful images this morning..thanks for the pre-Spring inspiration. I have also been busy and taken the plunge to rent a little space in an antique mall reopening here in Walla Walla in a few months. My head is just whirling with ideas...I KNOW you can relate : )

But thanks to talented and creative women like you, we are never at a loss for inspiration....just all the energy we need to pull off all of our "endeavors".

so glad I stopped by this morning..

I love every single photo! The one with the mirrors coming down the stairs is my FAVORITE!! I am heading to the flea market this weekend hoping to find some like it for my foyer space. Wish me luck! And I usually use Behr for my furniture that I sell...but this time I used Benjamin Moore. Hands down that is my FAVORITE paint. It covers like a dream and is so smooth I regularly get accused of spraying my furniture, which I do not. Every single stroke is down by hand. ;o) ~mary~

Glad to know I'm not the only one on the computer every 81/2 minutes :) Sounds like you have some great projects to get started on. I love the sound of the headboard.
I had a Cecile Bruner rose that I finally had to dig up and give to a friend. They get huge, but are so pretty.

LOL again. The dreamy pic with the netting over the bed, I think you got that off mine when I posted the Well Dressed Home book. Love it too. Let me know how you get your etsy stocked, it takes me forever. I always love visiting you, gives me something to dream about. Lisa
