Good afternoon bloggy friends!
The sun is actually peaking through the clouds in the Pac NW! Truly a rare treat anytime after November 1st! I'm not sure why I feel the need to give a weather report at the beginning of my posts.....hmmmm.
Anyway...
I've been working on some things lately....some things to share with you soon.......but not..... yet....
so until I have "the goods" to show, I thought you might enjoy a few kitchen yummies...
Here's what I'm loving about this kitchen...that fabulous clock!
and the chippy pale of flowers and that awesome light/lamp/chandy!
l o v e the simple-ness of it....
Seriously......I so love this kitchen....do you think
I'm crazy? the beat up cabinet holding the sink? really?
really!
the range definitely looks commercial
and the little floral picture is so cute....
and
I love the sweet simple window treatment...
rustic chippy everything.. w/ a chandelier...
nothing more to say....
how about a skirted island? I like it.
and I'm always a sucker for saltillo tile floors.
I know "sucker" is not a very nice word, but it just seemed to fit....sorry mom.
how about a skirted everything?? I am liking it too.
the brick walls are amazing
and
the wood countertops are gorgeous
and
the exposed beam ceiling?
love it all.....
I need this in my kitchen....
more brick love
and
um, floor love.
My favorite....
straight from the french countryside...
stone floors, plaster walls
and
hanging herbs and such.....it's killing me....
anyone have some lavender I can dry out?
choked out my lavender this last summer......
OK...I lied...this is my new favorite....
it's the light blue cabinet at the end...I need it.
and
the range w/ that fabulous little work table next to it.
need that too.
I know it's not a kitchen,
but in the same file & too wonderful not to share...
you know how I love my pea gravel...
~ ~ * ~ ~
that's it for today friends...gotta go check on my lovey...
my sweet Kenzie-girl is down with a fever & soar throat...
this is her this last spring
helping her mom plant 100 boxwoods....
every 12 inches on center...:-} oh the memories of the projects we do....smiles.
Till next time
and I hope you & your families stay well.
Shellagh

Love the pics of the white kitchens...you are so absolutely right about that clock...crazy cool! I also like the chandelier in that pic. I have been looking for something for my dining room...I think I could maybe re-create this one. Unfortunately, the pic doesn't enlarge..I would love to see a closer shot of it. Can't wait to see what you've been up to! I've only been working, working, working ~ no fun at all!
Have a great week,
Susie
You need to share the weather report as it makes me homesick ... chuckle! Can't do the chippy but everything else is gorgeous.
Popover for our TRIPLE GIVEAWAY if you haven't already. Have a lovely eve. TTFN ~Marydon
These are the BEST pictures!! We so share the same tastes. My husband would never put up with skirted anything (except me, preferably short). I think I might have to give some of the kitchens a nice swipe of white paint here and there, but otherwise i love them all...
And I too, report on the weather. That is what happens when we live up north and everyday is strangely different from the one before! LOL!
Come by, Shellagh, I have a giveaway going!
xoxo
Jane
Everything in these pictures is perfect - chippy, skirted, and fabulous.

Each picture holds such charm! But, if I ever build a house I would simply love red brick walls in the kitchen. I don't know what it is, I just love brick walls {in the kitchen-grin}.
Wow! 100 boxwoods! OY! That is a lot! :o)
Sincerely ~ Tricia Anne
Love your kitchens, especially that chippy hanging cabinet. I love white distressed anything! Hope your daughter (and helper) is feeling much better soon!
Debra
Love all those photos. I also love the light in the first photo. It is Heather Chadduck's light in her kitchen. I did a little recreation of it for my craft room. It was quite easy to do- take a look:

Hope your young one is better soon! Adore your kitchen file photos. Guess you'd have to have a huge kitchen for all that love. Truly beautiful rooms ~ thanks for sharing ~ Angela
I love every one of them.
Stephanie
We definitely have the same tastes. I loved those pictured. Each and every one of those kitchens. I absolutely go nuts over brick or stone in a kitchen. Great pics, thanks for sharing.
Hope your little one is feeling better soon!
Lisa
Ah! You have given me a truely happy moment in my day -salivating over beautiful chippy vintage kitchens with the sort of detailling one dreams about!
By the way, I have plenty of lovely italian Lavender in bloom if you want, 'fraid you just have to jet over here to Melbourne and get it back though customs to have any!!
I will send you a bunch next blog I do!!
(if I don't forget, been a litle vague lately, must be too much to do!!)
As usual a wonderful post Shellagh! Thank you :)
Oh so pretty. Love the concrete countertops, white cabinets and touches of stainless steel. Thanks for the visual candy.
I'd take ANY of those dreamy kitchens!! WOW!
Though, I am definitely much happier with the kitchen I have now that I painted those cabinets! :)
Great post with SOOO much beauty to look at!
Ruth
Hi Shellagh, I love them all, but I love the second one the best because it is the lovely Robin's kitchen from Magnolia Pearl. I love her house and would move in if they would let me. I can definitely do chippy!
Hugs,
June

Love those kitchens! Thanks for sharing those beautiful pictures. I will be dreaming of fabulous kitchens in my sleep tonight!

So glad you found me, Shellagh! I followed you right over to your place, and what a beautiful blog you have! I'll be back very often to see more of the beautiful things you love! We do have so much in common--our faith as well, I see from your sidebar! So glad to meet you, and looking forward to getting to know you better!
Thanks for dropping by! The tablecloths etc... are for sale on Ebay. I am going back to near full -time work next year so wont have the time to be the hunter/gatherer I was. Need to scale back and clear the shelves! But you can't keep a good thrifter down, I just have to be more selective in future (Ha yeah thats really going to happen.....).

Shellagh,
These are all great looks! Sleek modern kitchens are nice, but I’ drawn to time worn vintage style, with updated appliances and great finishes.
Wishing you sunny days…from someone who used to live in the Pacific NW.
Cathy
Oh sooooo pretty!! Can't wait to see what your up to (;
Hugs~Kelly
The vintage kitchen is one of my favorite kitchens. It is simply amazing. I just found you blog and I have truly enjoyed my visit!!!
Wonderful kitchen photos to share. I hope you are having a great week.
Take care,
Kathleen
Shellagh, you're so spot on, as always! Love especially the one with all the brick and the mirror. Again with the open shelves though, right?
I just moved from Vancouver and the weather was the first thing on my mind every day - this time of year at least! Nice to see a little bit of sun. And I agree, that beat up cabinet with the sink is amazing! -amy
Such wonderful images you´re sharing with us today. Great inspiration, thank you!
Helle
Yeppers, I love that beat up cabinet holding the sink! And I doubly love that awesome pillow in your etsy shop!
Anne
Hi Shellagh,
love your treat - those kitched pics are every woma's dream. Don't know which one I live best, but I guess # 8 with the hanging dried herbs is more my style! more on the Country with some vintagey accents.
Thanks for sharing and stopping by my blog.
Also, I've been wanted to tell you, but always forgot to, that I adore youe header photo. Real chic!!!
Have a great weekend ahead of you!
BTW the weather is lousy in Italy these days. Maybe I should come over for a change!

Yummy photographs of white kitchens. I like your latest favorite. Those stone walls are to-die-for!!
Rhonda
Loved looking through your kitchen "Yummies" My favorite was the one with the chandalier and the big farm syle sink. Love that sink.
Hope your Kenzie is feeling better by now. She's a cutie and so sweet that she helps you in the garden.
s, we have the same taste! I have had some of these same pictures on past post! I love this style the best, thanks for sharing.
I had to come back and read all your post! Years ago, I did the paper bag wallpaper, the flooring was done in my living room 20 years ago and we just did the rest of the house with 1x8 pine boards, not flooring. I love it too. You are going to love my guest room that I have not showed yet. I can't believe how many of the same picture we have saved. Nice to find a soul mate...
Hi Shellagh,

Hi Shellagh,
Opps! Sorry about the mistake-but close enough if your Mom was from Canada(smiles).
Enjoyed my visit!
Carolyn
I love a brick wall in a house and I would love to put some brick in my kitchen. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Hugs
Hi Shellagh! I don't think you're nuts at all, I have that kitchen (pictures 2 and 3) in my online file for inspiration...I love it!!!
Thanks for the kitchen yumminess! Hope Kenzie is feeling better!!
:) T
I want my kitchen to look like any or all of those, the second to last is my fav.!!! Hope you are well, thanks for the great pics!
Those are some great kitchens. I just can't wait to paint my cabinets white. They are blah maple right now and totally not me. Lots of inspiration here... I look forward to seeing what you're up to.
Gasp... a skirted island? I nearly passed out. In a good way though. lol
Lovely, well-lit rooms here. Makes me so cheery! You probably know this, but that last photo that you said wasn't a kitchen but you loved it anyway? That's a photo of author and cooking journalist Susan Loomis' home in France pictured on the cover of her book, "On Rue Tatin." It's a fascinating read: it contains recipes (!), lots of small town French living anecdotes, and such a warm love of renovating.
