I do love porches SO! We once lived in a Victorian house and when we repainted this lovely "lady" we added sky blue to the front and back porch ceilings. We had a glider on the front porch and it was heavenly to sit out with a glass of something wonderful and watch the world go by. Thanks for the sweet memory and have a splendid weekend! xx P&H

Oh . . . sigh . . . these porches are just wonderful. Don't they make you want to just . . . be? I love the color too - and GOOD LUCK finding a gorgeous old table like that on Craigslist! Let me know if you - I'll just die! We could never find something that yummy out here in California. Now maybe one that just needs a little distressing . . . that is a possibility.
Loved this post.
Have a great weekend! Karen

Hi Shellagh, i have always loved that first picture you posted and it was the inspiration for my own porch when we got it done. It's funny however, because I love all the others you posted as well. Maybe I need a different porch on each side of my house.hehe.

Shellagh,
You have to stop Killing us with these great photo's...I am going to go get the book and drool over all the inspirational looks I will be able to feed off of, the publisher should give you a kick back for all the GREAT promoting you have done for them pushing the sales of the book up I am sure of that :)

I am getting the bug to do a little decorating to my home and a little more aged whites.

I will be back soon:)

My husband made me a farm table from an old shabby door he found in one of our farm sheds and we had some old chippy table legs in there too. I painted it white...it turned out really nice, I love it. Happy Tuesday! Chris
