~Lantlif~

I have been hoarding all these fabulous photos
as inspiration....
hiding them in my computer....
and swooning over them in my quiet hours...

and thought that maybe instead of keeping them all for myself....
that I should share them with all of you...
so you can swoon too....

Maybe you already know about this amazing woman from

but in case you don't....let me introduce you.....
her name is Annette and she lives in Sweden.....

& I am so in love with her amazing swedish rustic style!

I could literally browse her blog for hours.....

to find amazing ideas to DUPLICATE!!

I am so enamored with her use of white
and how stunning it looks.

her accessorizing is.....nothing short of...fabulous....

right?  I thought you would agree....

her ideas on thrifting & little projects
are super creative & inspiring!

I think that is part of the reason I am so obsessed with her site....

it's so fun to see another persons view on thrifting & such...
someone from half way around the world...

here's a little project she did with
some vintage pant hangers....

paint the whole thing black....

cut out a piece of black construction paper
stamp w/ cute little white stamps

add a vintage family photo
and a ribbon.....
and hang on an absolutely charming hook....

{and guess what I found the very next day, after finding this.....yep....a whole slew of them at the goodwill dumpster store!! I am going to make a few & thought I might put a few on Etsy so if you want....you can make one too!!}

and because I think you are all fabulous
& because you literally bring me joy with your sweet
comments & love.....

I'll share another to die for project of hers!!!!

you see the little tray above right??
you can pick these up very inexpensively thrifting....

paint it white....add a beautiful french soap
and a few flower petals....

do you love me now???
are you ready to run right out & find a tray
and some french soap???
holy moses ~ I am!!

Ok...want some more????
you will love this too!

plain little tray....seen a million of 'em thrifting...
not terribly exciting until...

you paint it white....and display vintage salt and pepper shakers on it!
~*~
OK.....ONE more to get you completely chomping at the bit to make some cool stuff on this wintery day....

fairly non-descript candle holder & tray....

until you glue them together....and....

add a candle w/ a little wire holding a little crown...
nestled in a bed of greens....

see what I mean??

and if you are loving all this, as I am....

guess what?
she has a book coming out!!!!
soon!!!!

so after you get back from the thrift stores...

or I guess maybe right now since you
are still on the computer.....;o)

get yourself a cup of herbal tea &
head over to her site for some serious yummy eye candy....

have a fabulous, inspiring week!!!

Thanks for sharing this! Inspiration is right! And I find your blog so inspiring too!

My husband really hates white, he thinks it is so cold looking, but I am bound and determined to 'lighten' up this house a little, and my back screen room is going pure white this summer (he's agreed to that!).

All the best,
Eileen

Hi Shellagh,
I love this Scandinavian inspiration too! I enjoy (stalk) them on a regular basis. I like the little dish spray painted for a soap dish.
Have a good one.

Hi Shellagh!
Wow, I can see why why you are so inspired. What wonderful ideas! Her rooms are beautiful, (although a little TOO much white for me.) I do need a bit of contrast. Those ideas are great though. I really like the soap dish idea. Thank you so much for sharing her wonderful blog, and for being so wonderful yourself!

Shellagh,
WowWee! I love it all! And I can see why you are so crazy for it. That is right up your alley girl. I have a bunch of those little silver trays & some spray paint in the garage, guess what I'm doing tonight. Think my fav is the little project with the vintage pants hanger & black paper. So simple, but stunning. Thanks for sharing a new blog to love. Lisa

Girl you are killing me! I could hardly sit still wanting to run to my cabinets and see if I have any silver trays to turn into a french soap dish! Then I scroll on down, and there's more! I can't wait to go thrifting tomorrow.
Her style is so wonderful. I am a real fan of white and cream.

Wonderful, inspiring post.
