~ trip to Monticello Antique Marketplace~

Hello everyone!

I've had a really busy week....

(working on a big little something)

It's the first chance I've had to share my trip to my favorite store in Portland!

Let's have a look around shall we?

My heart always starts to beat a little faster when I approach the store....

It is just pure eye candy from the moment you walk in!

this booth was just amazing & breathtaking....
you know how it is when you literally have to analyze every
inch of a booth to take it all in?

I don't have the best camera so I apologize...
but I tried to get you the best shots~

this wreath had hops weaved into it~

cutest button display & checked ribbon on everything

this brown transferware was gorgeous
(& very expensive....over $125 for the pitcher...)

love the creamy linen counter skirt

I really love old books...

more transferware to torture me.....

it's hard to tell from the picture....but this old pine bench was so beautiful
it had the nicest patina

cute ticking pillow...

loved this dresser

totally should have bought it ~ only $69!!

are you still with me?

just checking....

this cute little bag was made from an old book!!

the salvage garden room ~ so amazing

I love the old bins

and the old dresser...

hops everywhere...smelled so good & grainy-ish

Hope you enjoyed browsing....

back to work on my project....

to be revealed Monday....

  2. Shellegh~~

Next time you go to Monticello, call me. I think we spent equal time loooking in each booth!! That $69.00 dresser is so cute...I could use one. And I always fall for little collections tied up in fabric riboon. Maybe I am better off without a store like this!

Can't wait to see what you have been working on!

  5. OMG it's all beautiful, what an amazing store!! I passed up a dresser today that was very similar but it had scallops on the bottom of it, it just kills me but I thought how many more dressers can you possibly fit in one home Kelly, keep driving,LOL, but I have a thing for dressers! Happy Halloween (;

  8. Shellagh, just wanted to say thanks for visiting my new blog. It's nice to meet new blogger friends.
I would love to see that shop. It must be large. The next best thing was seeing it through your eyes (camera).
Looking forward to seeing your new project on Monday.

  9. There is NOTHING like this around my town. Our antique places are just blah. Our flea market is a joke. I'm soooo jealous! Thanks for sharing the eye candy with those of us who don't have the pleasure of such shops nearby.:o)

  10. Thanks for sharing pics of your shopping expedition! I long for a shopping spree. There are no shops here locally with such great merchandise, but I've enjoyed the 'window shopping'!

  11. My goodness. The hardest part of that trip was that I wasn't THERE! Don't you love it when you can just go into a store and just absorb everything in it? The old shoes would've been in my hands in a heartbeat!
I think it's a good thing that I have a small car - because I would really, really be broke by now if I bought everything I want. So many times it's, "(Big frown)! I can't get it home!"
But occasionally I have been known to take the truck . . .
thanks for letting us tag along! Very fun.

  15. I just want to say this...anything you bought is mine! Not really, but I haven't had a chance to go in awhile. It really is a terrific store, with some of the best vendors. When ya headin up to Centralia and Catty Wampus!

  16. This is one of my favorite Antique Malls around here and I know a few of the dealers who sell there. They have an unbelievable Christmas sale through December where extra dealers are set up in the Large Garden area. You don't want to miss that one. I noticed in one of your posts that you had made chair slipcovers. Do you make them for other people? Just curious because i got some chairs on Craigslist and can't find anyone who makes custom slipcovers. thought I'd ask and maybe we could meet up at Monticellos. LOL

    Enjoy your weekend.

  18. Shellagh,
What an AWESOME place, I've never been but it's on my list now. Would like to see more of the bag made of a book. Sounds really cool. Love the ticking pillow and all the slipcovered stuff. Love places like that, when every room is better than the last. Lisa
