~locker love & storage ideas~

Hello friends!!

How is everyone doing today???
I'm doing good.....got a kiddo here sick
but we're doing fine :)

I swear they just get tired of
going to school.....and the "illness" starts
from there....she really does not feel
good but sometimes I wonder how much
could be self induced...ya know?

my parents moved us in the middle of my
8th grade year & I remember wanting to
get sick soooo bad so I didn't have to go....
then wham-o a major flu bug...
not fun...I remember it like yesterday!
self induced perhaps?

who knows...but how about some
storage ideas?

seems like this time of year is perfect for
streamlining things.....

so, ya like the lockers??? yes...
and the bench???  yes...

love, love, love the look of old lockers...
but probably not the most practical
maybe?  maybe not?

this "mudroom" below is awesome...

tons of room for all the stuff the kiddos
need but I personally do not have
room for this sort of contraption....
and not much character....right?
but it's almost worth it to be so
o r g a n i z e d....

I am loving this idea....
we just happen to have dead space like this
under our stairs....wonder if Mr T & T
would feel like ripping the wall apart???
**cricket**cricket**
hee hee ;)

this one is 2die4!!!
love it!!
need room...
big room...
need farmhouse....
big farmhouse....

fun to dream but now it's
time to get back to work!!

Hope your week is going great!

xoxo,

Shellagh

  2. Um, I think you're onto something with the sick thing!!! A couple months ago I had a wish I could be sick just so I'd have an excuse to slow down and rest. Now that I'm wiped out with strep, I'm regretting that "wish"!!! Ugh. Great photos- love the ones in the bathroom. Did I know you were a NW girl too???? Hope you're surviving the deluge!

  3. What great looking storage ideas! LOVE that last one, too. We had one built under the stairs in a house that was built in 1903. I loved it and it just kind of disappeared when the door was closed. Great ideas! Hope your girlie feels better soon~ xo Diana

  4. There have been times where I have wanted to be sick just to get waited on a bit. It doesn't work at my age!! Hope your little one feels better soon!

Lockers...love them. I would like to plop some down in an empty room and design around them. Otherwise, they will never get in my door! I love the storage space under the stairs. Now, if contractors thought that way!

  7. The thing I love about lockers is I can stuff them full and close the door and hide everything! I hope everyone gets well in your house soon! I totally agree that the kids are tired this time of year. My daughter, who is in grade 8, has been fighting a chest infection for weeks and weeks. Get well! Much love, Lisa

  9. If I only had the space to put some of those fab lockers;) I know my kids would love them too. I think that is one of middle school sons favorite part about school.

    Hope everyone gets well soon:)

  12. I would like nothing better than to add a few lockers to my house but for the life of me I can't figure out where I can put them. Once I figure it out I hope to add some. I just love the look.

  15. Hi Shellagh,

I love all those storage solutions!!! Vintage lockers would just be PERFECT!!! I have so many things that need to be "hidden" in our decor! :)

Well I do hope your little one feels better. We are all just getting over a little flu bug in our household - it's never fun when someone in the family is ill.

Take care and have a wonderful day!

    Hugs,

  19. My dad owns an old school building. I think I need to go scrounge up one of those. I know he's used them for stuff, but there must be ONE with MY name on it! Great stuff!
